The English high school, Panvel is established in 1960. It is know as Panvel’s oldest and very first English medium school. Initially the school ran under the leadership of Lion’s Club of Panvel. In 1966, The English high school, Panvel got government approval; for primary section ( 1st std to 4th std) that time above mentioned classes ran under the leadership of K.H.E TRUST , Mumbai. Same trust also has their branches at Mumbai and khopoli.
President and Founder of ‘Progressive Shaikshanik va Samajik Sanstha, panvel’ Mr. Khalil G. Tamboli took charge from K.H.E. Trust in 2018 June.
Honorable headmaster Mr. Khalil Tamboli stood tall in all odds. Keeping 435 students future in mind, Mr. Tamboli established new trust ‘Progressive Shaikshanik va Samajik Sanstha, panvel’ with the help of some senior teachers. Now ‘All is well’ the school is looking forward some helping hands.

Requesting Donation & funds for school
The English High School Panvel is one of the oldest schools in Panvel established in the year 1966. Since the establishment, K.M.H. Trust, Mumbai, managed to carryout management of the school. The above said trust also have other schools under its administration in Mumbai & Khopoli
Recently, in the year 2017-18, the trust wished to shut down the school due to lack of funds and further managing committee. The Head master who is serving the school since last 20 years was really shocked, as the future of 435 students, 20 teaching staff and 3 Non teaching staff was at stake. The H.M. & the staff thought of carrying out solution to continue the school and safeguarding the future of the students and teachers. They took over the charge of the school and at present since 1 st July 2018, started under their own management and trust named ‘Progressive Shaikshanik Va Samajik Sanstha’, Panvel.
Progressive Shaikshanik Va Samajik Sanstha Is extensively working towards improvement in educational quality and co-curricular activities of all the students. Especially, as majority of our students belong to financially backward background and labour class, mostly coming from slum areas. Where their none of the parents are literate and most of them come from poor families, who wish that their children must not suffer as they did and therefore want their children to study in English Medium school. We are trying to provide all our students with several facilities like scholarship exams conducted by Dell, Medical Camps, competitions held by Kala Academy, conducting several social events and celebrating festival. And still looking forward to provide as much as we can.
Our most important provision is for school’s own place. Years have passed, we are on rented base. Looking towards the future of our students and school, we are searching for a place to have our own building and premises; So we need generous help looking towards you.
